HUMANE SOCIETY
OF HARRISON COUNTY
Our Mission at HSHC is to defend and protect animal life through education, integrity, and leadership. We count on the kindness and generosity of area residents to foster the homeless, abandoned, and injured animals that come to us for care.
WHO WE ARE
Providing a safe haven for animals in need is an important part of our mission, but it's only one part. Our vision is to continue to grow and develop the programs and services we offer while working towards preventing animal homelessness and finding compassionate homes for any animal that becomes part of the HSHC family.
Primarily, we rely solely on contributions from individuals, trusts, and local businesses that care about animals and our service to the community. We also depend on the dedication of our volunteers who work alongside our staff to help us care for animals, deliver our programs, and govern our organization.
We are not funded or operated by any national humane organization. Unlike many surrounding areas, we do not have a facility to shelter animals. We cannot accept owner-surrendered pets of any kind.
