Spay and Neuter Assistance
Public Low Cost Spay and Neuter Program
This is for spay and neuter surgery only. There are no other types of medical services provided. Vaccinations are only offered only to those who have scheduled spay or neuter surgery.
Please call the shelter to schedule an appointment. There will be NO WALK INS.
Payment is due before claiming your animal. Cash, check, credit and debit cards are accepted. Please see FEE SCHEDULE below for pricing information.
Surgery will be on Mondays, with a drop off time of 7:30am – 9:00am.
Pick-up time is 4:00pm – 6:00pm. There is NO over night facilities for public animals.
Requirements:
- Proof of any vaccinations/de-worming/testing must be presented before surgery.
- Puppies must be 12 weeks old and have at least one set of puppy shots/de-worming with proof provided. Two sets are preferred however, if the animal needs a second set, they will be done the day of surgery for a nominal fee.
- Dogs 4 months of age and older must have rabies vaccination. If not, that will be done for a nominal fee.
- Dogs over the age of 7 years have the opportunity for pre-surgical examinations and blood work, if wanted by owner or deemed necessary by the doctor.
- Kittens must be at least 9 weeks old, with at least one set of vaccinations. If no vaccines, they will be done for a nominal fee.
- Cats 4 months of age and older must have rabies vaccination. If not, that will be done for a nominal fee.
- Cats over the age of 7 years have the opportunity for pre-surgical examinations and blood work, if wanted by owner or deemed necessary by the doctor.
All surgeries include anesthesia, procedure, de-worming and pain medications (if necessary).
Surgery packages and services a la carte are available.
The Doctor reserves the right to refuse services to anyone for any reason.
