Volunteer
Volunteers play a big part in our day-to-day operations. We look for reliable people who can help us take care of the animals, help out at adoption events and fundraisers, and foster animals until they can come into the shelter. We hold volunteer orientations once a month, on a Saturday, for those interested in helping out the animals. If you would like to become a volunteer for the Humane Society, please download the two volunteer forms, fill them out and return them to the shelter.
Some volunteer opportunities include:
- Cleaning kennels and cat cages (at the shelter and at Petco)
- Office help (filing, copying, letter writing, call backs, etc.)
- Surgery help
- Special events (adopt-a-thons, fundraisers)
- Foster animals
- General maintenance at shelter
